Peristaltic pump is a new type of industrial pump, more and more industries, in the liquid transmission when the use of peristaltic pump more and more, here Puri peristaltic pump manufacturers to share with you, peristaltic pump pulse is what? Why reduce the pulse?
Peristaltic pump pulse
What is the pulse?
Because the peristaltic pump is alternately squeezed and released by the elastic hose through the rotor to transport the fluid, the transmitted flow will flow out one strand, and the phenomenon generated by this transmission liquid is pulse.
How do you reduce the pulse?
1. Use a pulse damper
This device uses the principle of air compression to absorb pulses, and is also a common component for eliminating pipeline pulses, not only peristaltic pumps, but also pulse dampers generated by other pumps during operation.
2. Increase the number of rollers
Since the pulse is caused by the rotor pressing against the hose, it is necessary to increase the number of rotors, and the pulse generated when the pump head is running with, say, 10 rotors is already very low. However, it should be noted that as the rotor becomes more, the flow rate will become lower.
3. Use double heads with offset rollers.
Part of the pump head can be installed with two hoses, using the cross extrusion of the pipe during operation, the pulse generated by the two tubes can be complementary to effectively weaken the pulse.
4. Add a drain pipe.
The pipe will absorb the pulse, especially the softer pipe, such as silicone due to friction, the longer drain pipe will also increase the back pressure. This tends to compress the pulses together. This will reduce pulses by up to 60%.
